Write for us
Clever Community Press welcomes clear, original proposals about how people gather, participate, use shared spaces and make local projects happen. We value grounded ideas that respect differences between groups and leave room for what might not work.
What to pitch
Propose one focused article with a clear reader question and a distinct central idea. Useful pitches might compare two gathering formats, explain a small design choice or examine a common assumption about participation. Tell us what readers could take away, what limits the idea has and why it suits this publication.
What makes a strong contribution
Write in plain, lively English and make the reasoning visible. Avoid inflated claims, invented examples presented as fact and advice that depends on local rules or professional judgment. If a proposal draws on personal experience, say so; do not imply research or testing that was not done.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page to send a short pitch, a brief outline and a little about your approach to the subject. Please do not send a complete article unless requested. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and we may suggest changes to fit the publication's scope and standards.
A gathering is a thing you make together
We look at the choices behind community life: who gets invited, how a space is used and what makes it possible to join in. Ideas are starting points, not recipes.
